Girtie and Goldie the Kune Kune pigs at Troedyhriw Holiday Cottages West Wales. Girtie has recently given birth to five piglets, with Goldie due very soon.  The Kune Kune, pronounced Cooney Cooney means 'fat and round' in Maori, a fitting name for a breed which is renowned for its barrel-like proportions. They are also known for their pleasant temperament.
